Make sure your home is ready to be listed on the Spring Branch real estate market. Here’s what you need to know to prepare your home for buyers, inspectors, agents, and appraisers. 

Boost Your Curb Appeal

There’s a lot you can do to instantly WOW potential home buyers in Spring Branch. These tips will help you prepare the exteriors of your home: 

  • Start with your driveway — keep it weed-free and consider repaving it if the surface has cracks
  • Make sure to cut away any tree limbs, especially those that could fall on and damage the roofing
  • Clear the yard of any debris and clutter
  • Paint any front shutters, window frames, siding, and trim
  • Repair any rotting wood on fencing and gates
  • Wash any stained siding and brick, rock, or stone to remove discoloration or mildew
  • Consider some DIY landscaping — add a flower bed, some mulch, and plant hedges 

Remember, you want your exteriors to reflect your home’s interior value and overall worth. It’s a welcoming sign when prospective buyers see how much care you’ve put into maintaining the property.

For example, consider clearing off all dishes and putting them away instead of leaving them on a drying rack. These details will ensure your home is in top condition — but it’s still your home!
